The Mini Lightship Basket by Judy Prohaska is a small‑scale expression of traditional Nantucket basketmaking, shaped with the same care and proportion found in her larger pieces. The weaving is tight and even, rising from a smooth base into a compact form that highlights the precision of the pattern at this reduced size. A light rim and handle complete the silhouette, giving the basket its familiar profile while keeping the overall look refined and understated. Though miniature, it carries all the hallmarks of classic island technique — balanced shaping, clean lines, and a thoughtful finish that reflects Prohaska’s steady hand and attention to detail.
