Each baby blanket is brought to life in our second-floor weaving studio above the Main Street shop on Nantucket. Our weavers begin with fine cotton fibers sourced from North Carolina, then choose the colors, pattern, and weave structure that will shape the finished piece.
The loom is prepared by hand before weaving begins. Threads are wound, measured, guided, and tied into place with care. As the textile develops, the cotton reveals its depth of color and softness. The finished blanket is cut from the loom and finished with a Nantucket Looms label sewn by hand.
