Known for its one-of-a-kind, hand-sewn durable construction, the CPO features our wool tweed fabric handwoven in our Main Street weaving studio and lined with colorful Liberty of London cotton fabric. Handcrafted Nantucket Heritage
Handsewn for over fifty years by renowned German seamstress Lia Marks, the CPO jacket was inspired by the classic shirt jacket worn by Chief Petty Officers in the Navy. Upon Lia's retirement, the jackets ceased production. After years of requests from our customers, we set out to honor Lia's legacy by bringing the jackets back into production, committed to upholding the quality and precision she was famous for. We celebrate Lia and our Nantucket Looms handweaving tradition with this next generation of CPO jackets using the same patterns and techniques.

Since 1875, Liberty of London has been known for their colorful and whimsical patterns. Our CPO Jackets are lined with their 100% tana lawn cotton, a fine, long-staple cotton woven so tightly that it feels almost like silk: light and smooth, yet strong enough to last for decades.
