Each alpaca throw is brought to life in our second-floor weaving studio above the Main Street shop on Nantucket. Our weavers begin with fine alpaca fiber sourced from Peru, then choose the colors, pattern, and weave structure that will shape the finished piece.
The loom is prepared by hand before weaving begins. Threads are wound, measured, guided, and tied into place with care. As the textile develops, the alpaca reveals its depth of color, soft surface, and natural drape. The finished throw is cut from the loom, completed with hand-knotted fringe, and finished with a Nantucket Looms label sewn by hand.
