Kate Pelletier is a painter whose work begins with color. For her, color is the seed from which each oil painting grows, guiding the intuitive process through which forms gradually emerge and come together as a unified composition. Working in oil remains both a joyful and demanding practice—one that she experiences as essential to her creative spirit.

Pelletier’s paintings resonate with collectors who maintain strong ties to Nantucket. Many live in cities but look to her work as a way to reconnect with the island’s atmosphere and sense of place. Her paintings capture more than a landscape; they hold an emotional memory.

When she is not in the studio, Pelletier balances her family life with her home-organizing business, Shipshape Nantucket. She sees a shared philosophy between the two pursuits: beginning with complexity and gradually refining it into something calm and harmonious.

Expedited Shipping:
