Inspired by the natural surroundings of the island, this handwoven wrap is rendered in a soft, gentle gray that offers effortless versatility and refined appeal. Crafted from a luxurious blend of premium Peruvian alpaca and Japanese-spun silk, the fiber combination delivers exceptional softness, warmth, and a subtle, luminous sheen. Alpaca is warmer than sheep’s wool and naturally hypoallergenic, making it well suited for sensitive skin, while silk enhances the drape and visual refinement of the textile. Finished with hand-tied fringe, the wrap is designed as an heirloom-quality layer that balances comfort, elegance, and purpose throughout the year.

Handwoven by local master weavers in our Main Street studio, this wrap is crafted entirely by hand using time-honored techniques upheld at Nantucket Looms since 1968. Each piece reflects our commitment to exceptional materials, meticulous craftsmanship, and textiles made to be cherished for generations.

How It's Made

Crafted by hand from start to finish in our Main Street weaving studio.

Our masterful artisans begin by thoughtfully selecting colors and fibers inspired by our surrounding landscape, then determine a pattern and desired weave structure for their design.

Next they wind the fiber onto bobbins then wind the loom’s warp, a meticulously calculated process that sets the path of each and every thread used. These threads are manually connected to specific harnesses and securely hand-tied to “dress the loom”. Once this stage is complete, they can begin to weave.

Countless passes of the shuttle commence, rhythmic, muted sounds of wooden pedals fill the studio and a beautiful textile begins to emerge. The handwoven process continues until the piece reaches its full length, at which point it is cut from the loom. Tassels are hand-knotted onto the ends, and a small label is hand-sewn onto the textile as the weaver’s final touch.

Ground Shipping:
Most purchases are shipped to arrive within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of the order.  Sorry, but we do not ship to P.O. or APO Boxes at this time.
All orders from our inventory are shipped via UPS Ground. Furniture & Area Rug orders will be drop-shipped by our partners.

Expedited Shipping:
All orders placed before 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the same day. Orders placed after 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the morning of the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or holidays will be shipped the next business day.

This item is available for free on-island delivery & curbside pickup.

Returns & Exchanges:
If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly offer you an exchange or refund of the merchandise price within 30 days of receipt of product. Do you ship overseas?

Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout. We run discounts and promotions all year, so stay tuned for exclusive deals.

How long will it take to get my orders?

It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
