Online is a small assortment of the CPOs we offer. Please call our shop to see what we have available (508-228-1908) or have one made to order (8–10 weeks).

Since 1968, the Nantucket Looms CPO Jacket has been a staple of the Nantucket wardrobe, serving as a practical, more relaxed alternative to a traditional sports coat.

Hand-tailored in a cropped silhouette, this jacket is crafted from our handwoven Cobblestone Tweed. The fabric features a heathered taupe palette made up of soft grays and deep brown sugar tones, recalling the weathered surfaces and natural variation found in Nantucket’s stone walls and pathways. As is traditional for our CPOs, it is lined in a Liberty of London print, "Ciara".

The Legacy

The name "CPO," short for Chief Petty Officer, references the jacket's origin, inspired by the durable wool overshirts worn by naval officers. Designed to layer comfortably over a variety of garments, it offers a polished look while remaining rooted in everyday wear. Each jacket is made by hand using the original pattern of the late German seamstress, Lia Marks, and features colorful Liberty of London cotton fabric. Every jacket we produce embodies this intricate and time-honored craftsmanship, bringing together tradition, artistry, and the finest materials for a truly unique garment.
