Made from wonderfully resilient linen and cotton, our tabby weave rugs are designed to stand up to high foot traffic and frequent washing. Woven with a natural linen warp for a beautiful gradation of blues, this rug is a soft and beautiful way to make a first impression at the entry to your home. Woven in the same tradition since 1968.

Machine wash cold on delicate cycle & line dry. Some shrinkage is expected. Give your rug a tug once dry to stretch it back to its original size.

How its Made

Crafted by hand from start to finish in our Main Street weaving studio.

Our masterful artisans begin by thoughtfully selecting colors and fibers inspired by our surrounding landscape, then determine a pattern and desired weave structure for their design.

Next, they wind the fiber onto bobbins then wind the loom’s warp, a meticulously calculated process that sets the path of each and every thread used. These threads are manually connected to specific harnesses and securely hand-tied to “dress the loom”. Once this stage is complete, they can begin to weave.

Countless passes of the shuttle commence, rhythmic, muted sounds of wooden pedals fill the studio, and a beautiful textile begins to emerge. The handwoven process continues until the piece reaches its full length, at which point it is cut from the loom. Tassels are hand-knotted onto the ends, and a small label is hand-sewn onto the textile as the weaver’s final touch.

Ground Shipping:
Most purchases are shipped to arrive within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of the order.  Sorry, but we do not ship to P.O. or APO Boxes at this time.
All orders from our inventory are shipped via UPS Ground. Furniture & Area Rug orders will be drop-shipped by our partners.

Expedited Shipping:
All orders placed before 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the same day. Orders placed after 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the morning of the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or holidays will be shipped the next business day.
