Julie Gifford’s paintings are inspired by the natural world, rustic structures, and the beauty of
daily life. She has been an artist as long as she can remember. Her connection to the island is
deeply rooted in the story of her own family. Julie was a year-round resident of Nantucket for
more than fifteen years. Her journey led her to the shores of Cape Cod, where she is never far
from the solace, salt air, and sea that inhabits her paintings.

Julie’s education as an artist is extensive, having attended classes at the Insituto Allende in
Mexico; the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan; Denison University, where she
earned a BFA; the Rhode Island School of Design; and the Artists Association of Nantucket.
Julie has passed on her education as the founding and instruction of JGifford Workshops, and the
co-founder and instructor of Nantucket Workshops. She is a member of the Artists Association of
Nantucket, the Cotuit Center for the Arts, and the Provincetown Artists Association and Museum.

Ground Shipping:
Most purchases are shipped to arrive within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of the order.

All orders from our inventory are shipped via UPS Ground. Furniture & Area Rug orders will be drop-shipped by our partners.

Expedited Shipping:
All orders placed before 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the same day. Orders placed after 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the morning of the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or holidays will be shipped the next business day.

This item is available for free on-island delivery & curbside pickup.

Returns & Exchanges:
If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly offer you an exchange or refund of the merchandise price within 30 days of receipt of product. To begin a return, please email us at returns@nantucketlooms.com to request a return label and state your reason for returning. The cost of shipping will be deducted from the amount of your refund. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the item received is incorrect or damaged.
