The Feel
The Qualities
As soft as fine cashmere yet remarkably durable and breathable, our handwoven alpaca throws are the ultimate in lasting comfort and style. Slightly heavier than other textiles we weave, they have a little bit of weight to them which allows for beautiful draping on your favorite chair or sofa.

The Craftsmanship
Each heirloom-quality throw is skillfully brought to life in our Main Street studio by a local master weaver using only the finest alpaca fibers sourced from Peru, a country renowned for its alpaca heritage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Caring for your Cashmere Throw
Dry Cleaning Only:
For our cashmere blankets, dry cleaning is the only recommended method of washing. This process helps preserve the fiber's integrity, softness, and natural sheen. Dry cleaning uses special chemicals to clean the fabric without the harshness of water and regular detergents, which can damage the cashmere fibers, leading to shrinkage or a change in texture.
Why Not Machine or Hand Wash?
While some cashmere items may tolerate gentle hand washing, our cashmere blankets are crafted with particular attention to their weave and finish, making them more susceptible to damage from water and agitation. Machine washing, even on a delicate cycle, can be too harsh for these luxurious blankets, causing them to lose their softness and potentially warp the weave.
To ensure your cashmere blanket remains as sumptuous as the day you brought it home, it's crucial to follow proper care instructions.
Caring for your cashmere throw blanket is essential to maintaining the unparalleled softness, warmth, and luxurious sheen. Cashmere, a fiber obtained from cashmere goats, is celebrated for its softness, providing a feeling of luxury and comfort unmatched by other materials. The result is a lightweight yet warm blanket that drapes beautifully and feels lush against the skin.
Despite its resilience and warmth, cashmere is a delicate fiber that benefits from careful handling, especially when it comes to cleaning.
Storage: When not in use, store your cashmere blanket in a cool, dry place. Avoid plastic bags, as they can trap moisture, and opt for a breathable cotton storage bag to protect against dust and moths.
Airing Out: Occasionally air out your cashmere blanket to refresh it. A few hours in a shaded, well-ventilated area can do wonders, but avoid direct sunlight, which can fade the color and damage the fibers.
Pilling: Over time, you may notice small balls of fiber forming on the surface of your blanket. This is natural for cashmere and can be gently removed with a cashmere comb, restoring the smooth finish of your blanket.
The Benefits of Cashmere
Our cashmere blankets are prized for their unmatched softness and lightweight warmth, offering a sense of pure luxury that few materials can rival. Made from the fine undercoat of cashmere goats, the fibers are incredibly soft, supple, and insulating—providing exceptional warmth without heaviness. Compared to wool, cashmere feels smoother and more delicate, with a natural luster and drape that elevate its elegance. While alpaca and merino wool offer similar warmth and durability, cashmere is finer and more indulgent to the touch, though typically more delicate and higher in price. A cashmere blanket is the ultimate in comfort—light as air, luxuriously soft, and timelessly beautiful.
We love cashmere for the sense of quiet luxury the fiber brings to everyday life. There’s an effortless elegance in the way cashmere drapes—soft, fluid, and feather-light—yet it surrounds you with warmth the moment it touches your skin. Beyond its beauty, cashmere endures—aging gracefully and growing softer with time—making it a true investment in lasting comfort and understated sophistication.
