In the early 19th century, England was introduced to a captivating Black Tea blend infused with the essence of bergamot orange, thanks to an envoy returning from China. By the 1830s, this concoction, known for its distinctive flavor and aroma, went into production. It was named Earl Grey in honor of the 2nd Earl Grey, a British Prime Minister of that era.
