Susan Boardman
Connecting to Nantucket's history, specifically the women who have walked the cobblestone streets and joined their husbands on whaling vessels, is what Susan loves most about the island. She has retold their stories through her embroidered narratives over the past twenty years, and now, in her paintings. Having moved to Nantucket in 1994, Susan can be found walking these same streets with her dog Sukie, where she finds inspiration in the ghosts of the island's past brought to life in her creations.
