Sandra Flavin

Sandra “Sandy” Flavin is an oil painter inspired by the landscapes of Nantucket and the Texas Hill Country. A member of the Artists Association of Nantucket since 1996, she received the Robert McDougall Award for Promising New Artists in 1998.

Her work has been exhibited at numerous Nantucket venues, including East End Gallery, Nantucket Looms, John Rugg Antique Shop, and the Old Spouter Gallery, as well as Hannah Gallery in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Fladen’s extensive art education includes studies at Colorado State University, ArtCenter College of Design, School of Visual Arts, Southern Methodist University, Denver Art Students League, the New York Academy of Art, and Caravaggio Studio in New York City.
