A third-generation textile artist, Hillary Anapol was drawn to the art of weaving as a young teenager. Hillary honed her craft under the apprenticeship of world-renowned Master Weaver Margaretta Nettles. Each rag rug is a work of art, an heirloom that anchors the space, a watercolor rendered in physical form. All of her work is woven on a traditional twelve-foot floor loom from her studio in Madaket. Her rugs adorn the walls and floors of countless homes around the world. Hillary’s work is shown exclusively at the Nantucket Looms. 

Hillary collaborates with homeowners, interior designers, and architects to create one-of-a-kind rugs that harmonize with client’s color pallet and compliment the physical attributes and natural surroundings of the home. Each time a rug is revealed to her clients it is a true celebration.
