Robert Frazier
Local artist Robert (Bobby) Frazier has made a career of interpreting Nantucket's landscapes into his iconic impressionist paintings. Following his mother to the island in 1971, Frazier found himself most taken by the beauty of Madaket. Inspired not just by nature, but also his father's work in code breaking for Army Security; Bobby believes that his father's talent for deciphering codes manifested as an impressionistic style of painting in himself. Deeply rooted in honoring tradition and placing his easel in the same locations as the renowned artists who came before him, Frazier embraces art history, his own past, and the surrounding beauty. Bobby shares a part of himself with every painting making his work deeply personal.
