About The Artist

From a village in Lithuania on the Baltic Sea to an island in the North Atlantic, Julija’s journey as an artist is informed by memory and the natural world. A class at the Nantucket Artists Association led to a full-time career on the island Julija has called home for more than twenty years. Julija’s abstract oil paintings of Nantucket’s ever-changing landscape allows color and shape to take center stage, leaving the real world behind. Tucked away in her Tom Nevers studio, Julija often works on a number of paintings at a time, drawing mostly from memory and sometimes photographs.

As Julija’s life on Nantucket evolves, so does her work. She is raising a family on the island and exploring abstraction. Abstract and non-representational painting challenges and excites Julija, who studied the design and technology of polymers at Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania. She is excited for the next phase of her career, which all began with an ad for art classes in Nantucket’s local newspaper more than twenty years ago.

Most purchases are shipped to arrive within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of the order.  Sorry, but we do not ship to P.O. or APO Boxes at this time.
All orders from our inventory are shipped via UPS Ground. Furniture & Area Rug orders will be drop-shipped by our partners.

Expedited Shipping:
All orders placed before 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the same day. Orders placed after 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the morning of the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or holidays will be shipped the next business day.
