Notable local painter, Robert (Bobby) Frazier is best known for capturing the airy quality and shifting light of Nantucket's landscapes. With his signature sweeping brushstrokes, Bobby paints clouds overtaking the skies, just before a storm. He perfectly captures the dimmed light that blankets our surroundings when storm clouds roll in and the way the sea grass bends to the strengthening winds. Oil, 18x24.
White Floater Frame.
Bobby describes his style as "fairly loose. Even when painting in the studio, even without the plein air threat of rain or changing light, I find myself working quickly". His quick brush strokes make for a fitting parallel with how quickly the light and weather can change on Nantucket.
Designed in the late 1960’s for Nantucket Looms, our classic boatneck sweater never goes out of style. Originally designed to be worn without a shirt underneath, the boatneck can be worn in a more fitted fashion or select the next size up for a looser fit. The saddle stitch shoulders and high boatneck collar are distinctive to this sweater. Unisex sizing.
