Our collection of baby blankets are handcrafted with a dedication to quality craftsmanship made to withstand a lifetime of love. Made from 100% USA cotton, each blanket is made from start to finish by our weavers in our studio on Main Street, Nantucket.
Washing Instructions:
To maintain the softness and integrity of the 100% USA cotton, we recommend a gentle approach to washing. Here's how you can care for our special blankets:
Machine Wash Cold: Cold water is gentle on the fabric and helps preserve the blanket's color and texture. Use a mild, baby-friendly detergent to protect your baby's delicate skin and the blanket's natural fibers.
Tumble Dry Low: After washing, tumble dry the blanket on a low heat setting. This gentle drying method helps to keep the blanket soft and prevents shrinkage.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Steer clear of bleach and fabric softeners. Bleach can break down the natural fibers of the cotton and weaken the fabric, while fabric softeners can leave a residue that might irritate your baby's sensitive skin.
Prompt Washing: Attend to spills and stains promptly. Baby blankets are bound to encounter some messes, but quick action can prevent stains from setting in. Pre-treat any stains with a gentle stain remover suitable for baby clothes before washing.
Rinse & Repeat: Our blankets are constructed to withstand frequent washing and drying as we understand they will be brought on many adventures.
